This Courtice main floor renovation turned a traditional, compartmentalized home into a bright and welcoming open-concept space. Before

The original main floor felt heavy and outdated. Dark wood cabinetry and tiled flooring dominated the kitchen, closing in the space. The dining and living areas were boxed off, making the home feel smaller and disconnected. Even the entryway staircase and laundry room carried an older look that didn’t reflect the homeowners’ style.

After

The new design introduced a brighter, more open layout with white cabinetry, a large custom island, and wide-plank hardwood flooring throughout. Statement lighting fixtures added warmth and character, while updated trim and millwork elevated the overall look. The living room now flows naturally into the dining and kitchen, and the refreshed staircase and laundry room complete the transformation into a sophisticated yet family-friendly space.
