Overview
This Courtice backyard renovation focused on creating a dedicated pool house and outdoor living area designed for relaxation, entertaining, and everyday use. The original yard lacked structure and usable space around the pool, making it difficult to enjoy comfortably.
Wilworks Renovations designed and built a custom pool house that anchors the backyard while maintaining open sightlines and flow. The finished space provides shelter, seating, and privacy, transforming the yard into a functional and inviting extension of the home.

Before
Prior to construction, the backyard was open and underutilized. The pool was surrounded by aging grass and uneven surfaces, with no defined area for lounging or entertaining. An old shed occupied space without contributing function, and the overall layout lacked cohesion. While the pool itself was well-used, the surrounding space felt unfinished and disconnected.
After
The completed project introduced a custom-built pool house that brings structure and purpose to the backyard. The new covered area provides a comfortable place to relax, change, or gather out of the sun while remaining visually connected to the pool.
Interlock hardscaping now defines clear pathways and seating zones, improving both durability and drainage. Artificial turf adds low-maintenance greenery and softens the space visually. Together, these updates transformed the backyard into a polished outdoor environment designed for long-term enjoyment.
Collaboration
This project was completed in collaboration with T.A.P. Landscaping, who handled the interlock installation and artificial grass. Their work played a key role in shaping the layout and ensuring the backyard remains both functional and easy to maintain. Valley Concrete Pumping poured the concrete for the pad and for a retaining wall holding key HVAC and pooling heating components.
