Overview
This North Oshawa bathroom renovation marked the first major update to the space since the 1990s. The original layout featured bold red walls, dark green tile, a bulky tub surround, and limited storage — all of which made the room feel cramped and dated despite its generous footprint.
Working closely with the homeowner, Wilworks Renovations delivered a collaborative redesign focused on functionality, comfort, and longevity. The updated layout improves circulation, introduces smarter storage, and replaces the original double vanity with a more practical single-sink configuration — creating a brighter, more efficient bathroom without sacrificing character.

Before
Prior to renovation, the bathroom reflected late-1990s design trends that no longer supported modern living. Heavy colour choices, aging finishes, and a bulky tub surround dominated the space, while the original vanity offered limited storage and inefficient use of floor area. The layout restricted movement and made the room feel darker and more enclosed than necessary.
Although structurally sound, the bathroom no longer met the homeowner’s needs — making a thoughtful redesign essential rather than a purely cosmetic update.
After
The completed renovation delivers a clean, refreshed aesthetic anchored by lighter finishes and improved spatial flow. Updated flooring, wall finishes, and a streamlined tub surround immediately brighten the room, while the revised vanity configuration enhances both storage and day-to-day usability.
By relocating fixtures and simplifying the layout, the bathroom now feels more open and intentional. The collaborative design process allowed the homeowner’s preferences to guide material and style choices, resulting in a personalized space that balances modern comfort with practical durability.
This project was completed in collaboration with DelPlus Electric, Oakridge Plumbing, and HVAC Zack, ensuring all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical updates were completed to code and integrated seamlessly into the final design.
